Is unlocking illegal?
No. Unlocking is perfectly 100% legal and it is only allowing the phone to work with all
networks instead of being locked to one. However we do not unlock
BARRED/BLOCKED/BLACKLISTED phones. Please read onto the next section for more
information.
Is unbarring or unblocking illegal? (also known as blacklisting)
Yes a barred phone is illegal to own as the networks have blocked its use and
functionality. We do not unblock/unbar phones that are barred to networks.
Phones can be barred due to being stolen, lost/found, insurance scams or simply
a person not paying the bill and trying to sell the phone on. Unfortunately a
lot of phones that are barred are currently being traded on eBay and many people
end up losing there money since the phone is unusable. WE DO NOT
ENCOURAGE THIS as it is the law with a 5 year prison sentence. IMEI CHANGING IS
ILLEGAL.
WE DO NOT UNLOCK BARRED PHONES OR CHANGE IMEI NUMBERS, SO PLEASE
KEEP THIS IN MIND IF REQUESTING AS WE MAY PASS YOUR DETAILS ONTO THE POLICE.
UNLOCKING A BARRED PHONE DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL WORK. IT WILL
STILL BE UNUSABLE!!
